PHOTOS: Black and White pt.2

Time at the Ballpark: I could literally hear the crack of the Bat, the thud of the ball as it's caught after a hard throw, the cheers of the fans sitting in the stands, the sound of the umpire . . . who doesn't love America's Favorite Pastime? This photo was taken at the Plymouth Ballpark off of Rockford Road.

Ballpark in perspective: Another view of the same place. Title represents the fact that the fan's perspective is mostly geared towards watching the game and enjoying the concessions.

Out Over the Lake: This was taken at West Medicine Lake Park looking east over the lake. Purely for the sake of conducting an experiment, I shot this not really knowing what to expect. Would the clouds/sky be properly reflected in the water? Would the sky be overexposed? I think it turned out well.

Three Fungi's: Though this was taken during the fall, I thought these should be included. The summer fun and warmth was on it's way out as autumn spread it's wings over us. Mushrooms serve to remind us that though things die, life continues to flourish as it's cycle continues to weave it's web connecting us to each other.

PHOTOS: Black and White

Sunshine through the Trees: It's a little tricky . . . one must position oneself in the shadow of a big tree, point one's camera to where the sun would be, and slightly adjust one's position to capture the rays. I've done this before, it's fun but you need to be careful. Taken at French Park in Plymouth, MN.

Sunsoaked loading dock: This one was taken shortly after the first in this set. There were a few boats on the lake, so the dock had been used that day. Shortly after this shot was taken, the boats went home. Again, from French Park.
Another View: Same time of day, just a different view. I enjoy how the light/reflections directly from Sun, interacts with the shadows and shaded areas.
Raining on the Patio: This was taken at my Mom and Dad's home in Plymouth. It had rained for much of the morning and afternoon thus far. While standing under an awning, I took a series of shots. Here's one of them.
Rained on Roof: This is simply the rainsoaked roof at Mom and Dad's. It was taken the same day as the previous shot. I think that these shots and others like them were attempts at perhaps a little more abstract in composition. I think they work.
